Who Needs Friends?

Our National Wildlife Refuges need advocates, supporters, and friends. Our local libraries have friends, and our schools have friends. Now the Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge also has Friends. We are a group of dedicated citizens who are willing to work hand in hand with the Refuge staff to support the interests of wildlife.  Friends of the LPO might assist the Refuge Biologist in mapping wildlife populations, or banding migratory birds, or lead educational field trips with other staff members. Friends are there when the are needed.

The Friends Group wants to put a priority on assisting the Refuge personnel in educational aspects at the Refuge.

Mission Statement
